Our work focuses on transformation. We pray that our consulting and our finances help to transform communities and lives. Part of my job is to help facilitate that transforming in our constituents from North America. Why do you give? Why do you come? Why do you cry when you leave? What will you do differently because you are touched by God through our work?

Transformation takes all sorts of avenues. We are called to be transformed. We are given the gift of transformation.

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God — this is true worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:1-2

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:17-18

This past year in Kenya is not just about me. It’s about you, too. Have you been transformed? Are you learning from my experience? What do you want, or what are you doing differently? How is God’s glory ever-increasing in you?

I have struggled much over the past year but believe that I am being transformed. God is molding me. Into what or whom I do not know. Not other than Child of God.

I pray that you can see transformation and God’s glory in your own life.
